Hello, my friend. Welcome back to Walking Together. I'm so glad you've joined me today. Can you believe we've reached the final day of our June journey? Before we begin, take one slow breath. As you breathe, thank God for every step you've taken with him this month. Have you ever walked beside someone whose pace was perfectly matched with yours? No rushing ahead, no falling behind, neither person pulling nor pushing, just walking together. There's something deeply peaceful about moving in step with someone you trust. I think that's one of the most beautiful pictures Paul gives us today. Listen to these words from Galatians. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Notice Paul doesn't say run ahead of the Spirit or try to lead the Spirit. He simply says keep in step. Walking with God has never been about getting ahead of him, nor is it about falling behind. It's about learning his pace, his rhythm, his leading, one faithful step at a time. As we've travelled through June, we've discovered that walking with God isn't a single decision, it's a daily relationship. Day by day. We've learned to recognise his presence, hear his voice, trust his wisdom, receive his peace, grow his fruit, share his love. Now Paul gently gathers the whole month into one invitation. Keep walking, not occasionally, not only when life feels easy, but every day in step with his spirit. Perhaps today is a good moment to look back. Think about where you were on the first day of June. How has God spoken? What has he taught you? Where have you grown? Walking with God isn't measured by perfection, it's measured by faithfulness, and every faithful step matters. Here's today's sentence to carry with you. The Christian life isn't about getting ahead of God, it's about keeping in step with him. We've reached the end of our first month together. What a beautiful journey it has been. Paul's words today feel like the perfect conclusion. Keep in step with the Spirit. Not because we've finally arrived, but because discipleship is always a journey. I've often thought about the phrase in step. If you've ever watched people marching together, you'll know that harmony doesn't happen accidentally. Each person pays attention, each person adjusts, each person keeps listening to the rhythm. Perhaps that's exactly how life with the Holy Spirit works. The Spirit isn't asking us to sprint ahead, nor is he leaving us behind. He invites us into daily companionship, daily attentiveness, daily dependence. Looking back over June, notice how wonderfully God has been preparing us. He invited us into relationship. He reminded us of His presence, He taught us to hear His voice, He showed us how to trust His wisdom. He opened our eyes through His Word, He grew his fruit within us, He strengthened us, comforted us, filled us with hope. Every one of those lessons has been preparing us for this final invitation. Keep walking. Walking with God has never been about extraordinary moments alone. It's about thousands of ordinary steps taken with extraordinary faithfulness. Perhaps that's why Paul uses such simple language keep in step. It's beautifully ordinary, yet profoundly life changing. Tomorrow we begin a new monthly journey, trusting God, but in many ways trust has already been growing throughout June, because every step of walking with God naturally deepens our trust in Him. As we move into July, don't leave June behind. Carry it with you, keep listening, keep praying, keep reading His Word, keep following His Spirit. Most importantly, keep walking, because the God who invited you into relationship on the first day of June will still be walking beside you tomorrow, and the day after that, and every day until He brings you safely home. Let's pray together Father, thank you for every step of this month's journey. Thank you for your patience, your presence, your wisdom, your peace, your spirit, and your unfailing love. Help us never stop walking closely with you. As we begin a new month, may everything we've learned continue shaping our hearts. Teach us to keep in step with your spirit every day, until the day we finally walk with you face to face. In the precious name of Jesus, Amen. Before you continue with your day, take a moment to thank God for one thing He has taught you this month. Then quietly pray, Holy Spirit, help me keep in step with you tomorrow and every day that follows. Sit with that prayer, let it become the beginning of your next journey. Walking this today, notice. How has God changed me during this month of walking with him? Pray Lord Jesus, help me keep in step with your spirit every day. Remember, the Christian life isn't about getting ahead of God, it's about keeping in step with him. Until tomorrow, keep walking, keep trusting, keep following. The shepherd who began this journey with you is still leading you forward. I'll walk with you again as we begin trusting God.
